Stump Grinding That Goes Deeper Than Flat
When a tree comes down, the stump left behind is more than an eyesore. It gets in the way of what you want to do with your land. PLM Stump Grinding LLC removes stumps completely, grinding below ground level so you are not left with a flat surface that trips people up or holds back your next project.
How it works
Stump Grinding, Done Below the Surface
Stump grinding uses a powerful machine to chip a tree stump into small pieces. At PLM, we grind below ground level, not simply flush with the surface, so the area can be filled, seeded, planted or built over without a raised remnant left behind.
Why "Flat" Isn't Finished
Most stump grinding stops at the surface. A stump that is ground flat can still leave a hard spot in the lawn, a hazard for mowers and a base that is in the way of whatever comes next.
We grind down past the base so the stump is broken up and the area is ready for new planting, fresh sod, a fence line or open cleared ground. No hidden stump waiting to cause problems later.
The One Job We Refuse To Rush
Stump removal is the service we take most seriously. We will not leave your property until you are completely satisfied with the result. That is not a slogan. It is how we work every job in Pike County and across Southwest Mississippi.
Know the difference

| Best for | Yards, Pastures & Cleared Land | Full Root System Removal |
| Ground disturbance | Lower | Higher |
| What is left behind | Wood Chips & Loosened Soil | An Open Hole |
We offer both services. Tell us about your project and we will help you choose.
